eLearning

eLearning is becoming more and more relevant every day.  This had made it a necessity for most businesses, mostly because it saves time and money, and if done right, increases retention and learner engagement, thus the bottom line—employee productivity.

However, today more than ever, it is becoming more difficult to navigate.  Technology is evolving so rapidly it is almost impossible to keep up with…LMSs, CMS, API, HRIS, LRS, the list goes on.  And besides all these acronyms which can be overwhelming, when it comes to eLearning, the first question that most commonly arises is “what content authoring program should I use?”

Today there are about 1000 LMS companies out there, and the number of eLearning authoring tools to chose from to create your content is almost as large, but which one is best?  Should I use a cloud based solution, or one of the big name applications like Captivate, Articulate, iSpring, Lectora, Camtasia, etc.

It’s a hard choice to make, but as someone who has had to navigate these waters and evaluate many of the top web and app-based tools I hope I can steer you in the right direction by giving you some guidance based on my experiences with some of these.

In the end they all have strengths and weaknesses, but your choice should conclude with the tool that is going to best suit your needs.
